Alina Podzorova was born in 1989, in Bryansk. She has been composing music since the age of 8, and recently she graduated from the Moscow State Conservatory and began postgraduate study in the conservatory (in the class of Professor Y. Vorontsov). She is a laureate of the national contest «Young talents of Russia» (Moscow, 2007, I Prize), Y. Kholopov All-Russian competition of Music theory and history (Moscow, 2008, I Prize in nomination «Composition», I Prize in «Musical literature»). In 2004 Alina was awarded a medal «In memory of the 200 anniversary of F.I.Tyutchev» for a contribution to the cultural development of Russia. In 2006 she took part in concerts in the International «Wind rose» festival in Spain (Algeciras). Alina also took part in master classes of jazz pianists including Igor Bril, Daniel Kramer and many other. In 2007 she won 1st Prize in L. Revutsky International competition (Kiev) for her vocal cycle «Four british songs» based on poems of R.Burns, T.Moor, D.Keats. Some of her works are published by «Music» edition within the collection of «Piano pieces of young

composers» (2006). In 2012 Alina won 1st Prize in N.Myaskovsky International competition (Moscow). In 2012 she was a laureate of the national competition of radio «Orpheus» (Moscow). Many of Alina's have been performed in festivals and concerts throughout the former USSR and Europe. In September, 2013 Alina was selected as the student for participation in the III International academy of young composers in the city Tchaikovsky. During this academy she took lessons of such outstanding composers as Jean-Luc Hervé (France) and Antoine Beuger (Netherlands). Also she took part in master classes with Philippe Leroux (France-Canada). Alina Podzorova's works have been performed in a large number of concerts and were played on the Orpheus radio station , at festivals of modern music in Perm, St. Petersburg, Moscow on such musical stages, as the Moscow State Philharmonic hall, the Moscow House of Composers, the St. Petersburg House of Composers. Alina's music has been performed by such collectives, as MEMM (Moscow Ensemble of Modern Music), Studio of New Music, the State symphonic Orchestra of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
