Mirka Šćepanović was born in 1981 in Belgrade, where she had her first violin lessons at age of seven. She continued her violin studies with Vesna Stankovic at Music Academy in Belgrade, with Rainer Schmidt in «Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía», where her Majesty the Queen honored Mirka Scepanovic with the distinction as «Most Outstanding Student in the Violin section» in the years 2006 and 2007. Mrs. Scepanovic has received important artistic input from masterclasses with Ferenc Rados, Walter Levin, Menahem Pressler, Kolja Blacher and Zakhar Bron.

As a dedicated chamber musician Mirka Scepanovic had a chance to perform at 'Open Chamber Music Festival' in Prussia Cove, England, 'Festival Internacional de Santander', Musique de Chambre à Giverny.
