Karagedik joined the ensemble of Hamburg State Opera at the beginning of season 2015/16, where he made his débuts in new productions of LES TROYENS (Chorébe) under the baton of Kent Nagano and as Il Conte Almaviva in Stefan Herheim's production of LE NOZZE DI FIGARO with Ottavio Dantone. He also performed there as Lescaut/MANON LESCAUT, Guglielmo/COSI FAN TUTTE, Marcello/LA BOHEME, Belcore/L'ELISIR D'AMORE, Dandini/LA CENERENTOLA and the Baritone Solo in Mahler 8th Symphony under Eliahu Inbal at the prestigious Elbphilharmonie Hamburg. The season 19/20 includes a return to Vlaamse Opera as Rodrigue in the French Version of DON CARLOS as well as the main role in the world premiere of VOYAGE DE L'ESPOIR in Genève. In Hamburg he will perform Marcello/LA BOHEME, Dandini/LA CENERENTOLA as well as in FIDELIO and FRANCOIS D'ASSISI. The last seasons included his debut at Vlaamse Opera with the title role in LE DUC D'ALBE, Rodrigo in DON CARLO at Oper Leipzig as well as

Marcello/LA BOHEME, EUGEN ONEGIN, Guglielmo/COSI FAN TUTTE, Prosdocimo/IL TURCO IN ITALIA, Lescaut/MANON LESCAUT, Renato/UN BALLO IN MASCHERA as well as Il Conte/LE NOZZE DI FIGARO and Sonora/LA FANCIULLA DEL WEST at Hamburg State Opera. Other recent guest engagements brought him to Komische Oper Berlin as Escamillo, Savonlinna Opera Festival as DON GIOVANNI. From 2009 he was an ensemble member of Theater Magdeburg and Theater Erfurt from 2013, also at the very beginning of his career he has been on stages of Teatro Comunale di Bologna, Puccini Festival Torre del Lago, Oper Leipzig and Staatstheater Braunschweig and sung a wide range of repertoire. In addition to his artistic career as a singer, he is a prizewinner photographer; Since 2014 his photography exhibition «Emotions IN motion» has been met with widespread public acclaim. Karagedik was born in Turkey and completed his vocal studies in his hometown Izmir, He continuous working on Italian repertoire with great Italian baritone Giorgio Zancanaro.
