Musicologist Ulrich Mosch, born in Stuttgart in 1955, studied at Hanover's state music and theater academy Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hannover as well as at the Berlin Institute of Technology under Carl Dahlhaus and Helga de la Motte-Haber where he did his doctorate on the topic of «Musical Listening of Serial Music». This was followed in 2004 by postdoctoral studies at the University of Salzburg where he subsequently became a private lecturer. Besides this he also teaches at IRCAM in Paris and Centre Acanthes in Metz. Since 2013 he has been Professor of Musicology at the University of Geneva.
