Daniel Sailer was born in 1971. He studied contrabass in the works of Yoan Goilaf and Ovidio Badila in Basel and completed his studies with a teaching and concert diploma. From 1997 – 1998 he was taught by Wolfgang Güttler in Karlsruhe. From 1996 – 2001 he was member of the chamber ensemble “musicuria” and has been involved with Ensemble ö! since 2001 in solist as well as chamber music orchestration. Beside working with the improvisation trio “Kraktau”  he performs in various ensembles for New Music in Switzerland as well as abroad. Since 2016 he is consistent member of Ensemble ö!.
