Jeanne was born in 1991 in Bayonne (Atlantic Pyrenees, France) where she studied percussion from the age of 6 in Antoine Gastinel’s class until she obtained her diploma of musical studies in 2010. In parallel to her study of classical percussion, her curiosity for traditional music leads her to join the group Txikitan. Passionate about theater, she participates in the creation of the troupe En Aparté in 2008, and develops a considerable interest in pluridisciplinary encounters. From 2010-2011 she undertakes the cycle de perfectionnement in Jean-Baptiste Couturier’s class in Tours, and then joins the Haute Ecole de Musique de Genève in Yves Bristaux, Philippe Spiesser, Christophe Delannoy and Clause Gastaldin’s class, where she obtains a bachelor and master in pedagogy. In september 2016, she began a second master’s course specialized in contemporary music at the Musikhochschule in Basel.

After having participated in the Orchestre Français des Jeunes 2010 and 2011, she has the opportunity to be an additional musician in several orchestras : Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, Orchestre National de Lyon, Orchestre Bayonne Côte Basque. But in

the past few years, her artistic activities have mainly concerned chamber music. Since 2011, she joins the Ensemble Batida, as well as the association Eklekto (Geneva Percussion Center), with whom she takes part in many concerts with world premiere pieces. In 2013, she participates in the création of the trio 46°N in Geneva, which explores the frontiers of traditional percussion, especially with regards to « théâtre musical ». One of the pieces created by this group was awarded the SUISA prize of the Jeunesses Musicales Suisses competition. The same year, she co-founded the Ensemble Caravelle, an uncommon combination of musicians comprising sporano, flute, alto, harp, piano and percussion, which cooperates with stage directors to create concerts with scenography. In 2016, they received the prize « domaine musique et arts de la scène » from the HES-SO (Hautes Ecoles Specialisées de la Suisse Occidentale), recognizing their work in bringing together music and performing arts. While continuing her work with thèse groups in Geneva, Jeanne joins a Swiss german group from Basel, the «Zone Expérimentale» collective in 2016.
