Born 1964 in Basel, Switzerland. Drums studies with Siegfried Schmidt as well as composition and electroacoustic studies with Thomas Kessler at University of Music Basel. 1991, scholarship from the Center for Computer Research in Music and Acoustics at Stanford University USA. Performer, interpreter and sound director at concerts and festivals in Europe, South America and Asia. Artistic Director and Curator at various festivals and concert

series. Compositional focus on live electronic and scenic music as well as instrumental music and music for dance theater, stage and film. Author of various publications on intermedia music. From 1994 to 2001, Head of Course for Audio Design at University of Music Basel. Since 2001, Professor for Intermedia Composition at Hanns Eisler School of Music Berlin, Director of Klangzeitort Institute for New Music.
