Chia-Ying Lin est une compositrice taïwanaise née en 1990. Ses œuvres ont été récompensées à l'international dès 2015 avec un troisième prix au 1er concours international de composition Jean Sibelius en Finlande, un premier prix au concours international de composition Piero Farulli et un deuxième prix au concours international de composition Michele Novaro en Italie ainsi qu'un premier prix au William Howard's Love Song Composing Competition au Royaume-Uni. Elle reçoit également une distinction du Goethe-Institut Korea dans le cadre du «Asian Composers Showcase 2017». Ses pièces ont été jouées à Taiwan, au Royaume-Uni, en Finlande, en Italie, en Hongrie et en Corée du Sud par l'Orchestre Symphonique de Taiwan, dans des festivals tels que Taiwan International Music Festival, Taipei International New Music Festival, 'PlayIt!' Festival (Florence), Musiche in Mostra (Italie), Mänttä Music Festival (Finlande), Leamington Music Festival Weekend (Royaume-Uni), Asia Culture Center Contemporary Arts Festival (Corée du Sud) notamment. Son quatuor à cordes a
