Shiri Riseman is an Israeli composer, conductor, singer and improviser born in 1992. She is a composition student at the Jerusalem Music Academy under the direction of Prof. Josef Bardanashwilli. Shiri is a graduate of the Thelma Yellin High School of the Arts and also attended The Centre for Middle Eastern Classical Music in Jerusalem where she specialized in Indian music.
She won the AICF excellence grant for composition studying for the years of 2018-2019. She had also received
the Siday Fellowship for Musical Creativity by the Jerusalem Institute of contemporary music for the years 2017-2018.
Her works were performed by Modalius Ensemble, Meitar Ensemble, Trío Arbós and more. Festivals and concert series in which Riseman's works have been performed include The Israeli Music Festival, the ContComp events and CEME Festival.
She has participated in various international masterclasses, with composers as George Friedrich Haas and Franck Bedrossian.
Shiri Founded and conducts the Musrara Choir in Jerusalem.
