Born in 1988 in South Korea, Dahae Boo studied composition at the National University of Seoul in the class of Uzong Choe. In 2010, she studied in Japan as a free listener at Tokyo University of the Arts (Geidai) and Kunitachi University of Music in Masakazu Natsuda class. In 2012, she continued her training in France with Allain Gaussin and Jean-Luc Hervé and Yan Maresz at CRR Boulogne-Billancourt. In 2013, she was admitted to the Conservatoire de Paris (CNSMDP), in the composition class of Fréderic Durieux
and in the new technologies with Luis Naón, Yan Maresz and YannGeslin. During the 2016-2017 academic year, she studied composition and computer music at IRCAM. She now continues her studies in Computer Music at Hochschule für Music und Darstellende Kunst Stuttgart in the class of Piet Johan Meyer. Her music has been performed by Ensemble InterContemporain, Divertimiento Ensemble, Berliner Ensemble Essenz, Quartuor Prometeo, Béla Quartet and Debussy Quartet. In 2017, Dahae Boo did a residency as a composer at the Elektronmusikstudion in Stockholm, Sweden.
