After his remarkable performance last year as part of the Archipel Academy, the Béla Quartet returns to Geneva to play a repertoire of masterpieces. Nymphea of Saariaho, brilliant electrification of the quartet. Ruth Crawford-Seeger's Quartet, which in 1931 prefigured 1950s serial drama. Meredith Monk's Stringsongs transpose to the strings the exploration of the vocal sonorities that made her famous. With the Béla Quartet, Archipel commissioned a new piece to Chia-Ying Lin, a young Taiwanese composer who attended the Archipel Academy last year.
