In order to promote the professional insertion and the transition to the active life of young artists, creators and performers, Archipel organizes workshops and academies allowing these musicians to complete, through practice, their academic training. It is also fundamental for a a festival dedicated to the avant-garde of identifying these emerging talents from their training period. Thus, a long-term fidelity between the artist and the festival is born, which gives birth to the most beautiful projects. This year, with the Neue Vocalsolisten and instrumentalists from the University of Music of Geneva, the Academy of composition will be open to ten young composers under the age of thirty, and we will respect gender parity among students. Under the direction of two eminently sensitive and inventive composers, Katharina Rosenberger and Jennifer Walshe, this academy will be dedicated to vocal ensemble writing.
