This performance touches on the inner, temporal and physical space of our daily lives. It questions the relationship the individual has with mechanical and organic time within bodily practices, and queries post-industrial, consumerist society as well as new technology. In a world where opposition no longer exists and where humans no longer have a real political vision, slowing down and thinking is an act of resistance. Without giving fixed answers, this creation offers a space for emotional and intellectual freedom; for taking time to reflect; for putting together a ritual. Julie Semoroz is a sound artist who sculpts sound using both technology and voice. She offers a diversion of sound from field recordings made on trips, an internal pilgrimage filled with shadows.
