Switzerland is home to a large number of specialised ensembles, and it is a great pleasure to welcome the Basle quintet Eunoia for a project for two groups. Under the auspices of Rimbaud and Beate Furrer, the younger generation is present with the Swiss (living in the USA) Dominique Schafer and the American (living in Berlin) Daniel Vezza. The music of the American virtuoso trombonist and composer (living in Basle) Mike Svoboda is followed by Lichtbogen, an important work from Kaija Saariaho's first creative period. Influences, exchanges, situations, these composers indirectly ask the question: Is there a Röstigraben in music? Answer following the concert...
