Barbara Strozzi, one of the most famous and prolific composers of her time, with a very particular destiny in the seventeenth century Venice since she managed to live without getting married or entering the convent, finds her place here with her sisters of today: Betsy Jolas, Graziane Finzi and Edit Canat de Chizy. Two singing songs by Betsy Jolas stand alongside a piece for twelve a cappella voices of Graziane Finzi, which leaves a large part to the declaimed text. To extend the Italian atmosphere that blows on this program, the new piece of Edit Canat Chizy is inspired by Dante. It is written for twelve voices and two microtonal accordions opening on a world of new sounds that allowed us to invite the Xamp duo formed by young accordionists Fanny Vicens and Jean-Etienne Sotty. They will also include the performance of Edith Canat de Chizy's Vega, originally composed for organ, as well as preludes for harpsichord transcribed for accordion by Elizabeth Jacquet of the War, one of the few composers of the Ancien Régime.
